A short documentary produced by SBS television illustrating the multiple benefits to business through the inclusion of people with a disability in their workforce was launched in Sydney to business leaders and large employers. “This documentary will be an invaluable tool in encouraging more business across Australia to thoroughly investigate the many benefits of employing people with a disability”, said Suzanne Colbert CEO of Employers Making A Difference Inc., an organisation delivering services to Australian employers to help them easily and successfully recruit, employ and retain people with a disability.

This was the first solo CD by legendary performer Phil Scott, one of Australia's living national showbiz treasures. Phil has achieved success as a songwriter, novelist, musical director and accompanist, political satirist and comedian. Now his extraordinary talents as a solo performer are captured on this new CD, recorded live during his season of Serious Cabaret at Sorlies Cabaret Room, Glen Street Theatre, in November 2001. Phil began his career in the 1970s as Musical Director on such shows as Tarantara! Tarantara!, Tomfoolery and The Rocky Horror Show. SYDNEY TURF CLUB – GOLDEN SLIPPER FESTIVAL
The 2003 Golden Slipper Festival commenced on Saturday 22 March and culminated in the spectacular AAMI Golden Slipper Day, featuring the AAMI Golden Slipper Stakes, Australasia's richest race for two year olds, on Saturday 12 April. Ms Annie Oliver, the Managing Director of bigshop.com.au, became the first woman in Australian corporate history to list her company with the ASX. The ASX has commented that not only is Annie the first woman to list her company, but she also stands out as being younger than usual. It was an exciting day for the ASX and Bigshop to be part of this change in Australian corporate history. Since starting the Bigshop company, Ms Oliver has been approached by a number of other companies offering her board positions. For nine years Annie Oliver worked as an IT specialist in Perth, nearly six of which was with BHP. In July 1999 she resigned from her job at BHP IT and since then has worked on the Bigshop project.

Events are organised around the world aimed at raising awareness of and commitment to HIV/AIDS issues. For the ninth year in Australia, World AIDS Day, 1 December, will be the culmination of AIDS Awareness Week, which will run from Wednesday 24 November. AIDS Awareness Week is a collaboration between Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments, the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations, the National Association of People With HIV/AIDS and the AIDS Trust of Australia. AIDS Awareness Week in Australia will be marked in 1999 under the banner 100% Aware: Listen To, Learn From & Live With People With HIV/AIDS. The theme aims to focus on children and young people and to raise awareness amongst the young about the transmission of HIV, as well as awareness about people living with HIV/AIDS.

Life Enhancement was a unique workshop specifically aimed at supporting and assisting people dealing with the intense grief and pain associated with the loss of a loved one. Conducted by Judy Freiman and Jackie Barrett, both recognised as leaders in resolving and supporting grieving people, participants gain satisfaction in having confronted difficult issues and recognised and applauded strengths. In 1995, 45, 000 bon vivants spent a glorious day in the park and raised an amazing total of over $100,000.

Sydney based Anna Wilding, Producer and Director established Moving Horse Pictures in Australia. Currently she has three film projects in active development. "Mario Cozzolini's Option" written by award winning Melbourne writer Joe di Stefano "The Ringbarkers" written by Bill McPherson "Jean and Richard" adapted from the award winning stage play by Mervyn Thompson. Anna Wilding has substantial credits as a Producer, Director and Writer in Australia, the USA and New Zealand. It is anticipated that "Mario Cozzolini's Option" will be the first project up and running.

The Teddy Auction
The Christie's Australia – Mitchell Tyrie Teddy Auction is a fund-raising event to support HIV/AIDS organisations. Leading designers from the fashion and arts industries have created a flamboyant range of over 65 "one-off" designer teddys in costumes from the 15th century to contemporary themes. Over the past three years the Teddy Auction has attracted bidders from around Australia and overseas and has successfully raised over $200,000 for AIDS charities. In 1995 net proceeds from the auction were distributed to the AIDS Council of New South Wales (ACON) and the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC). Mitchell Tyrie has grown to become Australia's largest manufacturer of premier quality teddy bears with retailers around Australia and exports to the United States of America, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand. Their dedication to excellence has allowed them to entice designers and creators including Carla Zampatti, Ilona Aldred, Le Louvre, Howard Showers, The Australian Ballet, The Australian Opera and the San Francisco Opera for the 1995 Teddy Auction. The concept of the Teddy Auction has captured the imagination of thousands with its unique designs. In 1992, 3,000 people visited the display at Christie's in Melbourne and 5,500 viewed the Bears in Sydney in 1993. This year's viewing and auction will be a feast of the most satirical and sequined teddys ever seen.

Major advances in micro-chip technology revolutionised the public's experience in viewing 'blockbuster' fine art exhibitions with the introduction of INFORM, a personal audio gallery guide. The introduction of the INFORM audio guide at the National Gallery was a world first for a temporary international art exhibition. INFORM, a digital audio system with random access capability, is slightly larger than a mobile telephone, sturdy, lightweight, with no moving parts. At the touch of a button, visitors to The Queen's Pictures had instant access to a commentary on each picture in the exhibition, with an introduction to the exhibition by Christopher Lloyd, Surveyor of The Queen's Pictures. Visitors could design their own tour by listening to the commentary in any sequence they choose.

Developed specifically for gallery and museum use by Acoustiguide, world leader in interpretive audio tours, the INFORM audio guide is available for tours of permanent collections in many of the world's top museums including The Louvre, Paris, the Tate Gallery, London and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

More than four years in the making, The Kevin Bloody Wilson Pub Krawl set out to re-write the rules for adult-oriented board games. Kev's international reputation as the Lovable Aussie Larrikin is firmly established, and a major American games manufacturer plans to convert the game to an interactive CD-ROM format. The Kevin Bloody Wilson Pub Krawl was distributed to New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL CAMPERDOWN
This was a very special day for the whole family. Bears, with their minders, took over the whole Darling Harbear environs - Tumbalong Park, the Exhibition Centre, the Convention Centre, the Harbearside Shopping Complex, the Maritime Museum, the Sports Complex, the Monorail Stations, and the Harbear itself. People took advantage of the "Healthmart" supplying information on child health issues and continued to be informed and aware of safety and preventative health measures.
