La Cuadra de Sevilla's Carmen is the fiery Spanish story, which evokes the culture of Spain in a vivid, spine tingling performance. Director and creator Salvador Távora, conceived this exceptional rendition of the true Carmen, as told to him by his great grandmother, herself once a cigarette maker from Seville, like Carmen. Távora directs a company of 48, including the band of the Santisimo Cristo De Las Tres, 26 strong in full Spanish military uniform, creating a dramatic presence as authentic as Holy Week in Seville.

Ipi NTombi, a slick extravaganza of song and dance that blends both the traditional and modern heartbeat of Africa. Ipi NTombi's incredible dance undercurrent and indigenous musical themes were complemented by a stage ablaze with vibrant colour and the drum beats of Africa. The company of fifty comprised male and female dancers, lead vocalists, and musicians including four drummers who provide the live rhythm for the many musical numbers.

SIR GEORGE MARTIN ALL YOU NEED IS BEATLES CONCERTS

Sir George Martin the legendary Beatles record producer and musical arranger made his Australian debut in Sydney for the 1998 Sydney Festival. Sir George, who was knighted for services to British music, led the magnificent fifty-piece Sydney Opera House Orchestra, an all star line-up of Australian rock legends and a band drawn from John Farnham's Band in a magical mystery tour of the Beatles' greatest hits, all featuring Sir George Martin's own authentic arrangements as heard on the legendary albums which he produced. Performing in the concert were Glenn Shorrock, Tommy Emmanuel, James Reyne and Human Nature.

TURANDOT AT THE FORBIDDEN CITY IN BEIJING
On behalf of Opera on Original Site Inc. and the Chinese Government this Bruce Pollack Publicity was engaged to implement a national campaign for this opera which was staged in the opera’s original setting the Forbidden City in Beijing.

A Symphony in White was a special salute to the famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna. All new music, choreography and routines were incorporated in this anniversary edition with a major emphasis on the historical background and foundation of the Lipizzaner breed, from its original breeding and use as a horse of war to a horse of nobility and aristocracy, to a living form of equestrian art. In 1970, Producer Gary Lashinsky created a new family arena attraction, The Wonderful World of Horses, starring the World Famous Royal Lipizzaner Stallions. Many horses and riders were brought from Europe to perform in this unique family oriented arena attraction. Over the years, twenty-three million people throughout North and South America, Great Britain and Europe have seen this internationally acclaimed spectacle.

RU PAUL
RuPaul grew up in Atlanta, birth place of the civil rights movement and Martin Luther King. He takes this heritage to heart and worked as a caped crusader all over the South before moving to New York. RuPaul comes somewhere between cartoon superwoman, She-Ra, and a float from Sydney's Gay & Lesbian Mardi-Gras. For inspiration Ru lists Sanford and Son's LaWanda Page and Diana Ross. He starred in the international AIDS drive 'Red Hot and Dance' benefit, and has been a television presenter for Manhatten Cable on Channel Four in the UK. His music combines stylistic smooth vocals, anthemic disco beats and Philly influenced soul - all this and supermodel good looks with a pair of legs to put Elle Macpherson to shame!

Together with The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus celebrated its 20th anniversary. As part of the festivities, all 200 members of the chorus traveled downunder to perform a concert of highlights from their repertoire. The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus is the first gay men's chorus in the world, the first gay men's chorus to visit Australia, the first performance in Australia by the first gay men's chorus.

The largest live entertainment corporation in the world, retained Bruce Pollack Publicity to implement all national publicity campaigns. There's no place like home and Sydney was home to the Emerald City when Kenneth's Feld's spectacular, The Wizard of Oz on Ice, opened at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 24 September. This lavish presentation, a celebration of the human spirit, was the first full-length production on ice of the classic American tale. The $9 million state-of-the-art production features special choreography by Robin Cousins of Great Britain, the 1980 Olympic Gold Medallist. Performed by an international cast, headed by Nataliya Ivannikova of the Ukraine as Dorothy, The Wizard of Oz on Ice carefully preserves the timeless integrity of the story that millions of people have cherished for generations.

4 TH WORLD SYMPOSIUM ON CHORAL MUSIC AND WORLD CHOIRS FESTIVAL

Implementation of the publicity campaign
The 4th World Symposium on Choral Music and World Choirs Festival, presented under the auspices of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM). This event is held every three years in a different country and brings together choirs, singers, conductors and composers from the IFCM's seventy member countries. Twenty six of the world's finest choirs, 1,500 international choristers, have been invited to attend the World Choirs Festival. The general rule of the Festival is that only one choir is invited from a given country, and no choir can be invited to consecutive festivals. The choirs were selected after auditioning over 200 national and international choirs. In addition, it is expected that around eight hundred national and international delegates will register for the Singers', Conductors', Composers' and Educators' Symposia, held concurrently with the World Choirs Festival. Included will be workshops, lectures and master classes presented by the choral world's most prestigious and important clinicians and conductors.

Jaime Roos is Uruguay's most popular performer. He has played to sold out crowds, both in his native country, Uruguay, and in Europe. An exceptionally talented musician, Roos fuses traditional music from his native homeland with contemporary styles and embraces the latest technology. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1953, he grew up in an area exclusively populated by descendants of black slaves. Jaime was exposed at a young age to varied music styles including jazz, folk music and the Beatles as well as the music of his people. He started formal guitar training at the age of 12 and at 15 embarked on an intense career as a theatre musician. Later he travelled to Europe where he worked as a bass player in jazz, rock and salsa groups. All this experience enriched Jaime's music with the warmth and character that have made him Uruguay's most popular musician. His song "Adios Juventud" became the theme song of the victorious anti-Pinochet capaign in Chile in 1988.

Following a highly acclaimed season at The Edinburgh Festival, a phenomenal year-long run off Broadway and the forthcoming season at The Adelaide Festival, Penny Arcade brought her provocative show, BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE! To The Belvoir St. BITCH! DYKE! FAGHAG! WHORE! was a rare, potent mix of sexuality and politics, of occasional moments of poignant sadness and rage, and those of exhilarating, joyous celebration and defiance. It is the second longest running Off-Broadway show ever and was seen in Australia and Austria in 1994. Much of it's success lies in it's remarkable exclamatory nature; the show was a series of radical monologues from the silver tongued New York faghag Penny Arcade, reinforced by male and female go-go dancing.

For the first time in Australia the full ensemble of the Bolshoi Ballet toured Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. With over 170 members in the Company, this stunning tour of the complete Bolshoi Ballet was accompanied by the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra. The most famous ballet company in the world brought to Australia an unparalleled depth of brilliant dancing. The Company was directed by one of the century's geniuses of choreography, Yuri Grigorovich, Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Ballet.

Operating from their secret base in the Pacific, THUNDERBIRDS is the conquest of good over evil, a war against wickedness. Jeff Tracy, and his five sons, Scott, Virgil, Alan, John and Gordon are assisted by their associates, "Brains", and the most famous of them all - Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward.

Famous for putting live scorpions in their mouths, burning their hair, shoving firecrackers up their nose and being vacuumed into plastic bags THE TOKYO SHOCK BOYS performed these dangerous acts and more at the Harbourside Brasserie. The group performed in Los Angeles and Las Vegas where they were spotted by the Executive Producer of the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival who stated "If THE TOKYO SHOCK BOYS aren't a hit, I'll shove a firecracker up my nose!".

Walt Disney's World On Ice was an entertainment extravaganza produced by Kenneth Feld, owner and producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the largest three-ring Circus in the world. This company is the largest producer and presenter of live entertainment in existence. Each year over 25 million people around the globe see a Feld Production live. Prior to the beginning of the 1994 Tour, different editions of Walt Disney's World On Ice have played in 36 countries around the world. Six completely different units of Walt Disney's World On Ice are currently touring in the United States, Asia, South America and Europe.

The Official tribute to the Blues Brothers first slipped into it's dark suits one snowy night at the Hare and Hounds pub in Brighton, UK as a one off performance. It received the first of many standing ovations and stormed the Hampstead Theatre Club and London's West End Whitehall Theatre with it's high energy rhythm and blues. The 12 week season at The Whitehall was extended time and time again, along the way breaking all box office records during it's 450 performances. In April '92 it was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Outstanding Entertainment of The Year. It has toured extensively throught Europe and the UK and is about to begin a further English tour.

THE RUSSIAN STATE BALLET, led by one of the greats of international ballet, Vyatcheslav Gordeyev, performed the complete four acts of Tchaikovsky's most famous work, SWAN LAKE at the Sydney Entertainment Centre marking the 100th anniversary of Tchaikovsky's death. Russian Ballet is renowned as one of the most powerful, technically brilliant and expressive dance forms. Balletomanes recognised Gordeyev as a star of the Bolshoi and a contemporary of Baryshnikov and Nurveyev.

Direct from San Francisco, Elvis Herselvis has been shaking up a storm with her gold lame, ruffle shirts and the biggest pompadour this side of Memphis but it's her hound dog sound that has rocked her to stardom. A true love of the jailhouse rock has inspired Elvis Herselvis and dedicated Elvis fans will swear the King lives.

In a night of unmitigated revelry, Elvis was joined on stage by two other champions of talent and talons, MAX SHARAM and CELESTE STARRE. Max has won awards from NEW FACES and is one of the brightest new singing talents in Australia. CELESTE STARRE, Australia's answer to Joyce Grenfell in drag, chats and sings with her pianist ALEXANDRO SUSAN with other guest artists, oddballs and royal members of the Gay & Lesbian community.
